It is a bery sad and common fact that opticians only care about profits in their own pocket which is why they only take the sellable ones and forego those that are more functional. Good products not being appreciated by opticians so not brought into the retail market so those who go to optical shops most times only can choose commercialised brands like oakley tagheuer rayban etc.
Ofcos Rayban is the most sellable sunglass in the world who doesnt know it. 8 yr old kid also know. I dont wear sunglass so no comment on that, never said rayban is no good. Its stylish. If one day i dont wear optical frames anymore i might wear rayban or oakley too.
Unknown or nit so sellable brands doesnt equate that they are no good. They could just be gems waiting to be discovered. All they need are just marketing. Without good marketing no product can sell well.
Im standing at a consumer point of view. I look for what is the best. Not what is the most sellable.
If japonism is not sellable & rejected by capitol so be it. Nobody can verify that except the management unless somebody admits they are from optical management else all are just hearsay. If Capitol is being rejected, will they have face to admit it? Ofcos they will say they reject the product instead. Maybe they couldnt hit the sales quota? Hah.
The problem has never been with opticians,

if the customers are willing to pay for $400 frame, excluding lenses. All opticians would stock $400 frames.
Put your money where your mouth is and not your foot. Reject your optician next time they offer you a discount. Tell them you value their service and advice.

don't forget to give him/ her a tip too.
Don't be a hypocrite, go ask for a lower pay as well. Tell your boss you want to work for satisfaction

.
Optical shops sell what consumers want to buy. They don't dictate what consumers want

Any shop which decides to do so goes down the drain.
Seanie... please go ask all the 8 year olds what brands sell well and tell me if it's rayban, or would they prefer Spiderman / angrybirds......etc
Even adults may not know what sells well much less 8 year olds.
And sales quota?

I mentioned it before, dun isn't on consignment. You buy / order and sell it.
Not selling? Best hope it tastes good with pepper. Large chain rejected?

you don't reject a brand. You simply stop ordering if it doesn't sell. Capitol services the general public. Items sold are mass market consumer products. Dun is not that.
There are stores under the same management, selling dun or related products to a niche market. But Capitol as a chain isn't going to push dun.
And in case you have not realized, so far I'm just responding to your comments and fallacies directed at me
not even shooting a single question or even questioning you despite you actually calling me names first.
But you're really really sore that I don't agree with you
