At Nex eyechamp now. $180 for 1.6 carbonate airwear crizal lens, $290 for silhouette frame vs $240 for swissflex frame. Which u feel more worth it? Is the lens too expensive?

actually on the whole, for those of you who have checked out prices at Nex Eyechamp, are their prices after 50% discount really competitive/cheap enough as compared to other spec shops?

just want to make sure i do not fall into the trap of retailers jacking up their pre-discounted prices and then enticing customers with 50% discount. - for all you know, you can get the same nett price at other spec shops without the discouting gimmicks.

but i am pretty sure $180 for 1.6 crizal airwear is a bit steep though.

What's the difference between Silhouette and Swissflex? Both seem rather similar. Would go for Tag if not for the price.

Probably the old crizal lens is mixed in the new stock, that explained why some have some don't have on one side. It's because lenses are stored in the storeroom. When customer orders, the optician will take the lens from the room and edge it according to prescription.

Don't worry la, I believe no optical shop dares to ripe off one~! If they dare, they should know that customer can report to the Board. I always advise my friends to visit their regular optical store.. Why? You will feel more assured for what you get.

Which shop do you guys recommend to get the cheap frame and lens ?

Normally, I bought in the capitol optical. But, My friend said that their price is expensive.
Currently I wear the titanium frame from police brand and zeiss lens.
Right now, I want to try the transition lens. Do you think it is possible to get the new titanium frame + transition lens with budget around 400-500 ? I prefer titanium because it is very light to wear.

Thanks

hmm.i tink the frame price they will mark up a bit to cover the 50%discount...but the main part where they earn will be via lens i tink.they will try to make u make the slightly expensive lens to earn back on the frame discount...just my point of view

need some help here also, can anyone recommend me lens for highly curved frames?....cuz my degree high,if make normal lens will be very thick....best if the lens can minimise distortion...

just went to kwong shin. to say that their service is bad is a gross understatement.

on a side note: advisable to get ray ban aviator spectacles?

able to pull of the huge specs look but am afraid it might be too much for everyday wear

Do you guys normally change from the original size/shape of the demo lens? Especially for rimless frames where the lens are more customizable.
