tag frames are generally controlled pricing ...but i read some postings that u might be able to get cheaper pricing at certain shops.....

else most shops will try to give u a better discount on the lens...then again...how much discount can you get from lens?

i m smitten by the new tag frame available..

The one I saw at Capitol was a full framed one. Not sure whats the model number or name but its one of those that the sides cannot be folded. The only offer it came with was free polycarbonate lens. After asking for transition and high index lenses, the total price came up to $950. Not sure if the price is reasonable. However the sales person did not give me any details on the type of lens used.

Can buy???

wow..nowaday lens also branded sia....

in the past, i just go for a better looking frame...then lens just normal since my degree is not high...250 there about for both eyes..

perhaps i should try some branded lens that is often talk about here..lol

saw that promotion too...i m not sure if its worth it since i dont fancy branded lens.. for whatever benefits it has....i gotten 3 tag specs so far..and i have to say each time i get a new one which is averagely every 2 years....
the price just go higher! damn..from $600 to $700 then to my current track series which is about $800 odd...

i cannot imagine going $1k for a frame...but at current market offerings, its not that difficult......haha..

You owned 3 tags already.....wow! Which shop did you go to buy them. If there are no difference in prices, I wld prefer a shop that has a wider variety. I wont be surprised if the prices hit $1k.

For Tag, can try Seng Li at queesnway shopping centre. They carry the full selection of Tag frames.

I'm also on my third Tag from Seng Li, after owning 4 Oakleys. After wearing a Tag, I will get a headache when I wear the Oakleys occasionally. The Tags are really "light as a feather".

same!!!! thats the reason why i switched to tag...was previously wearing oakley, d&g and such...give me a headache ...

on and off i will still wear my others that i made along the way depending on my outfit of the day..lol.., japonism which i got for tokyo, hugo and my greeky plastic prada ...

but i still prefer tag for it light weight and slick designs.....although other brands like silhouette is also pretty good in term of design and lightness but i still think tag is nicer even with the exorbitant premium price...just that its gettin too common compared to 6-7 yrs ago...:s13:

Nex Eyechamp 50% discount extend till Feb. Any shop to recommend for first time contact lens user?

Time to go see if got any nice frames....

Hmm.for contacts, pricing wise I tink is ard the same.they all usually have the same brands on promo....best is to go to a shop u trust & make sure tt they go do a chk on ur eyes before prescribing u...had a bad experience b4 where the shop just took my degree etc & told me to come back the next day.no checks whatsoever....in the end, ended up with bad fit & a lot of eye irritation

What kind of checks are they supposed to do? Is it the same as when you make new spectacles, ie read alphabets and whether red/green is clearer?

I can't really comment on the whole procedure cuz I only made twice before.not even sure if I myself went thru the whole thing.....however u can go read up on the contact lenses thread.quite abit of info there.not too long ago, there was a mini discussion there with a particular forumer who worked at a optical store...

Hi,

How much you got your Ray Ban? Any recommended shop with a good range? Thanks.

Hi Vwtg54,

I have just gotten my Ray ban at this shop: Define Happiness
Was quite happy with the price and the service.
Will really recommand this shop, they have a range of specs for you to choose from, had a hard time trying to just buy only one lol.. they also carries Oakley frames as well. You might want to pop by to have a look.
