i was quoted a pair of crizal lens
- plastic progressive lens (approx 850 degrees) with 1.67 index
which Eliminate All 5 Vision Enemies
at $670 ?

is this a reasonable price ?

What is the difference between 1.56, 1.6 crizal lens??:(

The numbers will signify how thick the lens are.the higher the value, the thinner it is....other differences I not tt sure....

Progressive Lenses are expensive, dude .....

Oops....my bad.just googled about progressive lens.it has many functions integrated into a single lens.hence the higher price compared to normal lens tt we are prescribed for myopia....

Atypical,u by any chance work at an optical store?

hi progresive are for ppl who are long and short sighted, mainly older people. For most ppl normal lens are fine.

For high degrees the lens will be very thick , for myself i use 1.67 and 1.74 .. but 1.74 is very ex :( nearly double of 1.67.

yah, i was told that bcoz the demand for 1.70/1.74 is lower. I personally like Tokai's 1.70. The coating is very smooth. Smoother than Hoya and Essilor, I find ....

1.7/1.74 should be ok for you. I have a lot of friends in your degree and higher.

By curve I assume your lens are not aspheric. I actually will get bit giddy when my lenses are not aspheric.

Next toy to look at are the bi-aspheric lenses .... Tokai have ! woohoo ! :D
