re

Giacoma Puccini frames are quite cheap isnt it? I'm wearing a stainless steel black rims with the red 'legs'... they cost only $60 and my hi-index lens is $100

Me too. Yea Giacoma Puccini frames slightly cheaper, was recommended since I mentioned it was a backup pair. it's not bad though, so far so good. But it is getting pretty expensive to make specs nowadays.

^ Bedok Point basement. There is an optical shop next to the bookshop and Challenger.

Does anyone know of a shop in sg that can make prescription lenses for sunglasses? Most shops tell me that they can't make lenses for frames that are too curved. Searching online brings me to heavyglare.com who seems to be a specialist with prescription sunglasses, only that their prices are crazy high. Surely there's a shop that has special equipment like heavyglare.com here in SG?

to think abt it now, quite worthwhile.

its light, its firm and it'll never go out of shape.

You may want to check out Sworke sunglasses. Some models come with prescription inserts so you have prescription lenses on it. If don't need can just take out the inserts become normal sunglasses.

Or another alternative will be Rudy Project. They have Rx inserts type and flip up/removable type.

Not really interested in adapters/flip type inserts. Am looking for prescription lenses that can fit in directly. To be more specific, I'm looking for a local optical shop that has digital surfacing technology that can make distortion-free lenses for curved frames.

On a side note, which shops here can help me order a pair of Rudy Project with ImpactRX lenses directly from the manufacturer? I believe most of the authorized dealers here should be able to, but which are more reputable and/or cheaper?
