You mean you accept frames that have paint peeled off? If there is a fine scratch on the lens, will you accept it? If the lens degree is 0.25 off actual power, will you accept it? If the spec you buy is a cheap one, maybe can accept, but oakley leh, expensive one.
they are not the only optical shop in singapore you know. unless you die die must buy from them next time.
actually i felt a thorn in my heart for those scratches on the frames, but so far, i dont experience scratches on the lenses from this optical shop & their lenses have always been very clear, although i have experienced lens scratches from other optical shops, usually i will not patronise back for lens scatches as i find it unacceptable. For paint peeled off, i seldom encounter such cases, only for this recent pair. Maybe the person doing the job is not the careful type, but this optical shop has the full range of Oakley frames which i want. Other shops usually dont carry the full range & if they do, it would usually be those big stores but charge very expensive lenses as they only carry branded lenses & not the cheap ones that i need.
My RX is very high, as such i dont find paying $1k for 1.74 branded lens is justifiable. Most likely, the frame already worn out before the lenses do! Normally i dont wear my specs for more than a year.
25 degrees off actually cant really make much diff to me & i cant really tell it as my power too high. But if the diff mre than 50 then maybe i can tell the diff. But i think the axis makes much diff to me cos my astig is very high as well. I experienced optical shops that gave me lenses that are unequal vision in the left & right lenses so i suppose they had made an error in the axis.
