QUOTE=ASUS111;71836106]I have 2 pairs of tag, one is the reflex fold rimless and the other frame auto model. The auto model is still ok but the reflect one is the one give me some concern. My reflex is about 3 months old but my auto is 3 weeks older. But the optician told me that they are replace the hinge though. Not sure how accurate it that.[/QUOTE]

I am.wearing a icberlin for many years now...was expensive then, frame alone was about 800 then. It's made of titanium hence very light. But the special things is that is has no screws at all, some nice design tat works on spring-like at the hinges

Ah, time to look at icberlin. Thanks ! :D

Anyone wearing tag heuer glasses? How do you all maintain the rubber hinge? My one already got some spot :s22:

I'm wearing one myself. Wearing the one below. (reflex series). Been using it for the past 3 years+

Condition is still good. What spotting are you talking about?

Mine is black in color, hinge don't really maintain or what. Its there solid and good for mine.

The only bad part is that, at the left side, there use to be the tag logo right, after so many years , wear and tear cause the rubber there to be spoilt.

I didn't make myself clear, mine have some patches on the rubber hinge. Yes I perspire a lot. Yes its very comfy, more comfy than the auto series but well I think that the auto series looks better and more sturdy build.

Hello all, jus stumble to this thread while looking for recommendation for a pair of spec.
Can anyone recommend me a spec for exec, budget including lenses at $400? Would prefer branded ones.

It's Rudy Project. I have seen many shops carrying it. I have seen it at Yes! at Suntec quite some time ago. And I have bought one from a shop in Century Square.

hi specs enthusiasts,

Dun Eyewear from Japan. All of the products are made of GUMMETAL material. This material was developed by Toyota car team and thought to be the most advanced material for eyewear. They are much more flexible and durable than conventional titanium.

Gummetal is a type of hightech titanium, so ofcos it is as light as normal titanium.

gummetal is as light as titanium but more flexible and have a higher tensile strength.

Many are under the impression that titanium is strong but it can and will break if careless, alot of sillhouette frames have broken at the nosebridges.

Not many opticians know if this material or the brand. Most when you tell them gummetal, will think you mean gunmental, the greyish colour.

gummetal is as light as titanium but more flexible and have a higher tensile strength.

GUMMETAL is a new titanium alloy developed by Toyota Central R&D Labs, a Toyota think tank, and this unusual alloy displays the properties of rubber though it is a metallic material.

Combining pliability and flexibility with high strength robustness. Whatever strain is applied, GUMMETAL does not become hard, and possesses unlimited pressability. GUMMETAL is very sensitive and flexible but stronger and tougher than Titaniumβ-alloy.

GUMMETAL is far less prone to rust than conventional titanium alloys, lighter and infinitely more people- and environment-friendly. It has a limitless number of possible applications, such as automotive springs, sports goods (golf clubs etc.), medical devices (such as artificial bones), watch cases etc. The soft-contact wearing feel and an elaborate design freedom of GUMMETAL seem to be indicating the arrival of the next-generation eyewear.
