Glass is not popular nowadays because of their heaviness & the advancement in technology of plastic lenses and they are not as expensive as used to be. On the other hand, glass are getting costlier due to the lesser in demand & also less factories are making them.

With your degree of 850, you can still make glass if you like but i think it is too heavy & prtessurising on your nose if you wear all day. The only advantage of glass seems to be its clearer in vision & asethetic appearance looks thinner. Carl zeiss should be a good enough choice.

If you do not have a wide face, you can actually consider plastic lenses at least 1.67 else preferable go for 1.74 thinnest plastic lens though price is high.

thks for sharing! much appreciated!

Hoya 1.5 Aspherical SFT Transition from Paris Miki a good price? $230

Nowadays I only go Paris Miki for their frames.. Even the cheap ones are very lasting. The others I went to is either the plastic turn color.. the paint chip off etc etc

Recently bought the Tag Heuer Automatic rimless. The end tip of the temple broke after 2 days. Paid 735 inclusive of 1.7 index lenses.

Went to the shop, and after looking at the Porsche and Ray Bans range, decided on the Oakley Transistors as replacement. Total cost will be 715 with 1.7 index lenses. The frame itself is 465.

What do you guys think of the price for the Oakleys?

2 days and it broke? I better drop my idea of getting the tag heuer reflex. Shall change to silhouette.
