It is called HVLL (High Vision Long Life). I was told it is better than SFT coating. It is already available in Malaysia. Singapore will be getting it soon.

nses are advertised based on their AR coats. The better ones I've tried really works. Worst one was my essilor lens. Different lenses have different optical quality. Not everyone can detect this difference. For myself I can feel the difference. Crizal lenses have a bit of fuzzy feeling. Not sure why but I can tell you their coat not as strong. The reason it cost so much is their advertising . Zeiss on the other hand gives you good quality. No bull**** advertisements. Most people who got them based on word of mouth. You may or may not feel the difference. That's the way the cards are dealt. Some people just have better sensitivity to blur.

in Asia, the new lenses are released every year . makes us really wonder if there rally is an upgrade or just part of their BS. Over here, lenses are not marketed as competitively, hoya and essilor probably has only 1-2 types here.and the lenses are here for years. No yearly upgrade crap I recently tried a pair of glasses here from shamir. Their lens brand. Relatively unheard of in Singapore but the quality was way better than the ****ty lenses they marketed so widely in Singapore. You be the judge yourself
Their plastic lens is the best that I've tried. Their coats is the smoothest and easiest to clean. Least dust. Lenses are not marked by the focus. Its called refraction. To have a good one make sure the shop don't use those small box charts in a small room. Results will not be accurate. Nowadays all the shops so small. The best u can get is those with mirrors.Zeiss well known only for the glass material, which is heavy. Otherwise not much difference among coatings. MOst important factor still the accuracy of the prescription and the optical focus determined by the optician's skill. If the optician cant mark your focus accurately, no matter how good coating is also no use, still blurr
told you already sg cannot compare with australia liao. aussies may not change their specs as frequently as the people here. And the lens distributor are hungry in asia, where the $ is.

Those are only for people with progressive and distorted faces. And significant difference between 2 eyes power. Normal people only require the distance between 2 eyes.I mean the optical centre la. The dots that they mark down on your lenses. Not referring to refraction.
One more thing. Sales target in aus shopping centres is 15 k a day. Singapore good days 3 k. Where the money is is here. The medicare pay for your glasses
different places different ways. But its still about $. Only difference is from whose pockets nia. Over here, we suffer. No medicare pay for my glasses.

Normal PD dont work well enough. Plus the 2 dots and my lenses can let me see much clearer than all the past ones made. That is becos high power & astig. NOne of my previous optical shops bother to do that for me, which is hwy i expereienced blurness most of the time. After the dots are marked right in front of my eyes, i can see much better.

I have no idea as I am just a consumer like you. My guess is HVLL will be available for the higher end HOYA lens at the same cost. Mid range lens will probably still use SFT coating. The gurus will know for sure.Yes. That is the one. Now I recalled when u said it. HVLL
Does it cost more than SFT coating?
Are we still able to order SFT coating when HVLL comes out?
