Oakley Half Jacket with polarized black iridium lens

Somewhere in the earlier postings, I read that some find it weird when ppl walk around town with their sunglasses. I feel that it's more for the protection of your eyes rather than the "cool" factor actually. The sun rays in Singapore are always so strong and I always squint my eyes to look at things especially between 11am - 4.30pm when I'm out.

A good quality sunglass will help block out the harmful UV rays from entering your eyes and reduce the squinting thus reducing wrinkles! When I was in Australia, I realised that most ppl there always wear sunglasses in the afternoon sun maybe also because its a fashion statement. But I believe the sun rays are also more harmful on their side becos of the broken ozone layer there :s16:

Nowadays I try to wear my sunglass where ever i go in the day to make sure my "window of beautiful sights" gets the most protection I can offer! Of course I dun wear them indoors la, later ppl think i trying to act cool :s13:

I wear it indoors also ... as in later to take out sometime... also have to see what lens I am having me. If I have Grey lens I will not take to trouble to take on and off .... if Black Iridium maybe I would... coz taking it out also have to hook on head or shirt... l:s22:

actually i feel is both for practical factor fashion statment there to.. cos down under in aussie and nz there is always a huge ozone hole and the UV level is damn high especially in summer time..

cos of this hole it lets in more harmful uv ray.. which is mostly filtered in singapore as we do not have this hole above us..

then ard the time of 11am to 2pm it isnt advisable for ppl to be out in the sun for longer than an hour..

I used to have some cheap cheap sunglasses u find at a street vendor. Now i am my eyes on a new prize. Oakley Juliet. As i stay in Singapore, its literally sunny the whole year and having a polarized lense would be good but just one question: If i get the Juliet Xmetal With Ruby lense, would the oakleys be tooo outstanding underlight ? I am having trouble chooing either Ruby Iridium lense or Black Iridium . HOW?????
Either

If you are comfortable with ppl looking at you when you wear the juliet ruby lens then by all means get it if you manage to lay your hands on one especially with the carbon frame. The black iridium is less flashy but also looks great. By the way, when you look thru the ruby lens it's very very slight blue but i dun find it much diff from the black iridium.

Mine too. Slowly building up my collection since they are not cheap at all! Only have a half wire XLJ. Any recommendation for beach? A plastic would be preferable isn't it?

Yup. I would think a plastic frame Oakley would be better for outdoor sports/activity. Half jackets are good choice with the rubber sock to keep the sunglass in place. The flak jackets are the newer models. There are quite a few plastic framed Oakleys in the market but some do not have the rubber ear socks. Check out the Oakley website for the latest models :s7:

yes, plastic frame is much lighter and easier to maintain. wont get corroded. M frame, radar, half jacket, flak jacket are gd choices for sports and beach.
