Oakley is also now able to make lenses with higher prescription than before (say > 400 degrees) on some of the frames (and keeping the lens thin), thanks to a new tech. So if you have been rejected by local shops due to high prescription needs, I might also help.

New China Opticians

Hey guys, you might want to try New China Opticians at Peninsula Shopping Complex at B1. Got all my prescription glasses and sunglasses there.

Look for Uncle Tony (shop owner), really friendly people and very wide range and affordable glasses they have (raybans and oakleys included). He's very popular with students due to the price and impeccable service.

The first time I went there, he was entertaining these Caucasian tourists and told me to wait when I wanted to ask him for the price. At first I thought he was being bias towards them, turned out as soon as the tourist left, he apologised to me and said he wanted them to leave the store first before telling me the price, coz he wanted to quote me a cheap price instead of the usual price!

The place is like a treasure trove! Managed to find vintage dunhill and kenzo frames that I got for 100 and 120 respectively (inclusive of prescriptive lens!). Turn around time is quick too, less than 2 hours.

Hi everyone, while im trying to order from overseas, im wondering if the local retail shops Oakley Radarlock displayed is using "Asian Fit" or the usual version of it ?

I did asked a few shops, some told me yes and no. Some dont even know if it's "Asian Fit".

Just afraid that I might tested on the "Asian Fit" version and ordered the normal version.

My wife bought herself a coach sunglass and her brother a rayban for almost 50% less than our local retail optics. No wonder you see so many optical shop employing alot of people ... their markup is incredible. But can't blame them.. businesses have to markup a lot to pay rental and employees
