Freesync also hardware cause you need freesync monitors. IF freesync just software all monitors can work already.

If you say until like that then okay lor.... which is.... quite obvious.... you can say freesync is hardware also because you need AMD cards.... you pro liao lor.... win liao lor.... salute you liao lor....

As long as have some compatible hardware, flash can already. For gsync, you need the module inside of gsync monitor to enable gsync.

Technically, nvidia cards should be able to run freesync also?

Sent from microwave oven using GAGT

YUP. You are right. We tried it and it work for both Geforce and Radeon.

The reason why G-Sync can't work with AMD is because there is a hardware chip embedded inside the monitor that only recognize Geforce, no Geforce no display.

Thanks!

Is there a 1440p, G sync, 144Hz, IPS model? Hard to tell if it's a TN or IPS panel. The specifications page also nv disclose. :(

There are many variables in Monitor nowadays,
a. 1080,1440,2160p
b. 60hz, 75hz, 120hz, 144hz
c. Gsync, Freesync, no sync
d. VA, TN, IPS
e. 24' 27', 32', 34', 40'
f. DP 1.2, HDMI 1.4/2.0

i reckon it will take 2 years before there is a good combination of the above available in the market to suit our requirements.
