for those who can recall me asking about leather cleaning services for my wallet, i have just collected it today and i am very satisfied with the service.

basically my leather wallet was in pretty bad condition:(: discolouration, and some pimple like thingy popping up of the surface. went to 2 shops which offers designer bags/shoes cleaning services, they told me that the condition was beyond salvation.:s16:

finally i went to another shop at lucky plaza and the lady at the counter also had doubts about restoring the condition of my wallet. perhaps sensing my disappointment, she told me to bring the wallet down to the factory where the 'pros' can better advise me. At the factory, the 'pros' told me they are able to improve the condition but unable to promise me much. skeptical(due to the fact that 1st 2 shops that i went to rejected me almost immediately) as i was, i decided to give it a shot.

i dont have the 'before' and 'after' pics of the wallet,(yar npgt, but i think most prob they wld have taken down the pics and put them into their "catalogue" that you can find in the outlets) but they managed to restore back to 70% of the original condition when i just got it 3 years ago. best analogy used would be mark lee's complexion 10 years ago vs today=:p. not perfect, but very visible improvement.

Note: as much as i am happy with the results, one gripe i have is that waiting time could have been shorter(more than 5 weeks for my case). pricewise, i think $80 is quite fair considering the work to be done(cleaning+Dye+surface re-con) and its about 1/6 the price of a brand new piece.
