Another guy that I rate very highly of, alongside Faler. Jesse's collection of shell cordovan is no joke though, from Horween to Shinki to Clayton. Even mass retailers may not have such a wide variety of leathers to choose from.

Was quoted $350 USD for a 6-slotted bifold with navy shell exterior and ruby shell slots but my current shell wallet still holding up very well.

Actually the color of your jeans/pants has seeped into the leather. You might want to bring it for restoration/cleaning service.

There's also no need to display the receipt. I doubt anyone cares whether it is authentic unless you are selling it.

anyone uses a bifold with a money clip? something like this:

does it feel good to use? looks like it can slim down the wallet with less leather folds, but a bit gaowei with the money flipping around for everyone to see when you open.

tried this for 3 months with a prada about 4 - 5 yrs ago. didn't like it because I still carry small amount of coins. now using a bellroy... slim enough and still allows me to carry coins when needed.

Waiting for Black Friday before releasing the prices I guess. You can always email and ask for quotes etc.

Heres my wallet (custom design) from them after 4 weeks of use. Applied some cordovan cream too as it got a little dry after a few days of using.

For a casual user that doesn't really take too much care of my wallet is cowhide leather recommended over calfskin leather? Or is there not much difference between the two? Deciding between Mont Blanc or Burberry..

I would suggest getting something that is full grain leather.
If you really want something that is almost maintenance free I would recommend shell cordovan which is regarded as the best leather.

From what I have researched both Mont Blanc and Burberry uses full grain cowhide leather and calfskin respectively.
