Wa been thinking very long on either this or the stackable one.

How much ah? Buy where?

Very happy with the Wolf watch box, quality is pretty darn good. Finally a proper home for the start of my humble collection - My flieger, diver and chronograph. :D

Budget and type of watch?

In absence of info.

Dress watch will recommend orient bambino
Diver style watch will be seiko either the skx007 or the snzh snzf series.
Diver style can also look at Orient Mako or Ray.

Yar, hard to advise as everyone is different.

what is a good watch to buy for a guy??

- what's your budget?
- what sort of watches he prefers? watch for diving? watch with stopwatch function? watch with 2 or more time zones? dress watch with leather strap?

if budget no issue, a rolex sub is always a safe bet - unless he's one already.
otherwise the $500 Seiko PADI turtle is a popular watch at the moment. or else the $300++ Seiko skx007/009 diver or $700 Steinhart Ocean One diver with a swiss movement.

for a very affordable and respectable dress watch, the orient bambino is an excellent choice. if you wish to pay more for a dress watch can consider the tissot visodate for under $1k, or the Hamilton intra-matic for slightly over $1k.
