For what I know swatch group is just only supply two type for other watch company.
2824/2892:
1. Base / standard - for who want to totally change the component part to fulfill their standard. Some watch brand just purchase this type and fully improvement also easier to get cosc standard.
2. Top - this is almost for the watch brand they can't made modify they self so they just purchase this type of movement and do slightly polishing to get cosc standard.

And swatch group won't supplier cosc standard movement to other watch brand, if they want cosc standard they have to improve they self and then send it to cosc to get the cert.

So the means is top watch brand will just buy the base movement and modify to their standard, top grade mostly is for micro brand.

2824 vs 2892
2892 is totally improve auto winding, accuracy, durable, and more easier repair. Of course and the movement thickness. 2892 very easy to get cosc standard and stable, that's why almost top brand will use this movement for they entry model.

This is talking about movement supply, if the watch brand under swatch group then is another story, like Longines L.688 movement, this is special movement just made for Longines, even omega or other brand under swatch group also cannot use this movement.

Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Stowa iirc gets COSC ETA 2824

Watchtime did a indepth write up on 2892

Wah lucky u tell me first if later i go back shop complain damn malu... thanks for your pointer. U mean the service centre staff CMI de ah? I wait for it to break-in and see how lo. Ytd dont adjust it still better faster 2-3min only. After adjust now runs faster 5mins!

I hope that in the course of your very extensive research before you bought your watch, you did realize that mechanical watches will never provide the level accuracy of quartz watch, computer clock, smart phone, cable tv box, etc.. regardless tudor, rolex, patek, etc

Good to track for accuracy but don't be obsessed or measure it on an unrealistic benchmark. Hopefully u didn't get a lemon watch like what u apparently did from tissot etc! Good luck!

If it's 5 mins per day, it is rather unacceptable. My $100 Seiko doesn't even deviate 5 mins in a week.

But now, he faces a dilemma. Sending the watch in will put it a very likely situation where scratches, dust...etc will be introduced to the watch. Not sending it in means he will have to live with a watch that keeps time poorly.

Ya 5 mins fast per day sounds like a lemon to me. From what i read in other watch forums. The BB is supposed to be regulated very well and runs mostly within COSC standard.

Oh sucks im really a suay kia. Confirmed. Gauranteed chopped. I think gaoxing is not wrong to say im a joke. Going back to shop later and see what they got to say. Last night couldnt sleep becos of this issue. And wife scolded me.

I will rather send it in, and I also trust Rolex Service Centre. My previous visits there were pleasant experience pre and post servicing.

Living with it will just make seannie feels worse everyday when he looks at the watch and soon he will try to flip it then suffer significant loss. Sending it in is free, will rectify the problem and save him monetary loss.

Totally agree.

On the other side, I never track like crazy but I did adjust the timing of my GS to my phone clock to the second. The result is amazing.

Seanie don't obese with the timing lah but of course 5 minutes seems a lot. You got keep adjusting and all is it?
