Hello guys! Am new to this thread and looking for some opinion! Am about to enroll in uni so as gorgeous as some of your Omegas are, I can't really afford them. Someday, maybe!
I have a budget of ~$300. I'm looking at entry level fashion analogue watches, namely Nixon and Fossil. Are they decent - can last a fairly long time (>5 years) without much servicing done to it?

Thanks! :)

300 can get seiko or orient. both brands are well reputable compared to those fashion watch.

or top up abt 1-200 more, you can also look for brands like steinhart (germany brand but using swiss made movement) second hand on carousell.

Hi! I think we are one of the youngest in this thread. I'm only 20 and currently serving NS. Will only enrol in NTU next year. Regarding your qns, I would advice against a fashion watch as they do not have much horological history and are not focused on purely making watches. I would suggest a Seiko SKX007/009 or an Orient Mako/Ray instead. Whatever you choose is up to you in the end. Enjoy it!

Go for Japanese especially if you like divers... They are classics
If you don't like the branding, there are always mods to tweak the appearance.

Fashion Analogue men watch?

If you wish to follow the trend, then you can go with DW...

But if you want to create your own fashion statement, go with Nixon, Adidas, Puma, French Connection, Skagen, FOSSIL, Kenneth Cole, Sturling Original

For durability. Casio family watches like Edifice, G shock have very good fashionable choices.

Battery operated watches are pretty lasting. On average, a brand new battery can last you a few yrs. 3-5 yrs until there's a need to change. Casio watches battery can typically last 5 to 10 yrs

Add: unless you're the sporty type... then some of these watches won't be able to take crashes and falls.

Recommend you to visit Bencoolen and Bras basah and have a good headache at choosing the best "under 300" watch =)
