Unless is say use the money parents give to do investment make some money. That one still can put it down to "parents give u money and u made the most out of it to make more to buy wat u want" and have that bit of credit. Imagine ur parents give u 70 bucks a week, I assume u are in uni and I get 50 a week a few years back. I see whether u can save 11k not.

Some people are meant to have more while some people are meant to have less. Life is unfair. Deal with it. Some parents have more to give their kids, some have less. This is life. If I want more than my parents can give me, I just have to work for it. Simple as that.

My point is there is no need for us to justify how we bought our watches. We are all watch lovers let's just enjoy whatever we have.

to a certain extent. I tend to bio what ppl wear and got ppl bio what I wear. Haha.

Haha true too. This hobby is very contagious. I got friends who don't give a rat's @$$ about watches are slowly getting into them over time due to my incessant and enthusiastic rumblings.

The way you say meant. Like abit wrong Haha.
Nobody is meant to have more or less.
All I can say you guys are very lucky. Haha.
What he say do have some truth in it though.
Try working part time and earn yourself a batman. You will soon realised it's not that easy as compared to just saving.

Like LeBron James say. Nothing is given. Everything is earned.
Not a LeBron fan ah hahahaha

Haha my 2cents! Haha cheers

Isn't this a horological hobby thread?

What's with the vindication towards the matter of how it's attained?

ahya this is a public forum, threads sometimes go off-track a bit..but in the end it will still go back to its main topic..why so "strict" about this being a pure-watch thread sia..

its not even like we are talking about a completely different topic like soccer or stock trading.. :s22:

When going for the real thing? Haha

Actually i find the real thing to small for my liking, how many mm?
I tried the 36mm DJ many many times because I like it so much, but in the end it's just too small for me.

Got a scratch at lug area : ( wonder if can polish off?

You can, just a matter of how much metal you want to polish off heh. And it'll be the first of a number, unless you keep your watches unworn.

But i can completely understand how you feel - after i found the first scratch my heart pained for a bit, and when the second one came i couldn't be bothered anymore. Hehe.

this is something i always wanted to say in forums but felt people aren't quite ready for the hard truth :D :o

im saying it objectively with no personal attack intended lol. it is wat it is. not like the watch is worth any less if its bought by parents' money right? and nth wrong with enjoying fruits of parents' labor but sometimes i just find it irritating if some people take other people's fruits as their own. seems like impatientstudent said he worked for it and i take his words for it.
