guys, looking for an automatic ladies watch for my wife (28-30mm dial) budget $800. where should i go to have a look see? bencoolen area? any shops to recommend? tia!

orient has some nice ladies watches with butterfly, hearts, ballerina motifs in gold/white/cream colours - if your wife's into those. size more like 30+mm. budget definitely below $800.

unless your wife's a watch person, better off getting her a quartz. women usually not into mechanical toys and find re-setting the time after the watch stops to be a chore. a quartz will run until the battery stops, saving her the "bother" ("joy" to us men) of re-setting the watch however long she left her watch lying around without any movement to charge the watch via the rotor.

a 2 handed watch (hour/minute only, without second hand) will hide the tell tale sign of a (usual) quartz - a second hand that tick by the second.
