Ok la, I did say before which PP I wanted the most so this may not be that surprisingly for some.

Bro Thai_rak_Thai, imitation is the highest form of flattery...and with that, I present:

Congratulations!

Definitely can feel the poison sink in deeper, even the box is a masterpiece. I once saw a Patek Philippe Wood Watch Winder (PTK-H997) and they were being sold at around USD$1.4K :s22:

$24,850 if include strap change cost.

Watch verified by Ion PP boutique that it was bought from them in Nov 2016.

You verified that the watch is bought from the boutique, or you verified authenticity through the boutique?

Ahh ya so many models. I am also confused. Regardless, will try to hunt in Japan to see which shop got such watches. Ultimately I just like the gold black combo, model # doesn't really matter. 😂

take note that the Spring Drive requires more servicing compared to auto and also nobody can service 8L35 calibre in SG if I am not wrong. Looking forward to your new hoot!

Been infatuated with vintage datejusts recently. In particularly the 1601/4 with the white gold bezel and white dial. People are selling on carousell for around $2k plus without box/papers. Don't know if it's a good buy or not. The watch just looks stunning.

the achilles heel of vintage watches is their aged movement. you need to open up their casebacks & eyeball the guts of the watch. a particularly worn out movement from a cheap watch may set you back a pretty penny to restore it to usable status (note i said "usable", just to tell the time adequately - and not "mint"). BYO timegrapher to check out diagnostics.

as always b+p+service history is definitely worth the premium for vintage watches, especially for collectors and also in the long run.

then, there're some non-PP owners who don't even consider the aquanaut not a "proper" PP instead of the nautilus wor, despite their same movement... :(.

My brother asked me when he first saw my nautilus, "is that a seiko?". I just said yes.

He still thinks it's a Seiko.
