i understand, 2k i think is a fair price la. but i am not willing to sell at fair price.
if wanna sell 2k, i sell to a friend better.

haha too ex. cannot swallow price tag and high quality know its leather and will chui after some time, plus i might switch it after awhile.

gonna go with cheaper alternative.

you got it at a great price, so that gave you some room. but great price =/= fair price. fair price definitely >> $2k.

maybe you priced it too low with warranty card (!), so they think the watch something wrong? maybe you need to up price? =:p :D

online prices WITHOUT warranty card on wus/dealers all already >> S$2k easy. and that's before buyer has to cough up courier charges + 7% gst to bring it over to sg. :(

i'm definitely a bracelet guy in out hot, humid climate.

but i bet the feeling of a high quality, luxury leather strap on wrist while you're cocooned in an air-con environment is that much more sexy & sensuous!

maybe you can source/ask for a rubber lined option/version if made-to-measure is available.

I still prefer the design with red star, dart-shaped indices & 2-liner Chinese characters

Good read here http://afine-toothcomb.blogspot.sg/2015/12/watches-affordable-vintage-appeal.html?m=1

Here's some pictures I found on net:

While it's not the usual image that you'd link to 1963, it is supposedly truer to the original. The indices/numerals are also a lot more substantial/stand out more. And of course less obviously Chinese.

Pls share the photos of the variants Ed has thx

Yeah bro I got mine from Ed while I was in HK. Very nice and down to earth guy, I'd recommend one to get from him. I preferred the square indices too but strangely I would have liked having Chinese characters on the dial! Panda versions are quite interesting as well. Arc let me know if you need pictures of the dial variants Ed has

For croc straps, do you buy genuine croc strap or croc embossed leather straps?

bro Donten is pulling no punches here, and i fully agree with him! :s12:

kickstarter is just a platform for them to crowdfund their projects. and since they're mostly amateurs to begin with, QC, logistics, order fulfillment, warranty and aftersales service is uneven at best and non-existent at worst!

there are exceptions of course, as supporters of Elshan will say.
There are quite a number of micro brands that don't just up and leave. That said, I'm just pointing out that KS = crap is an overgeneralisation, and so is "Seiko will be around forever".

Rossling&co, Lew&Huey, Helgray to name a few are brands that are still around after a while, and continue to produce watches and new models. If you tar all KS over with the same brush, then you are discounting all possibilities.

To hold a watch and said "I funded them when they were still unknown", or "I just bought what was popular"? I suspect some of us (not me) will derive a lot of satisfaction from the first. I myself do not really fund KS - watches, just the Pebble and Mori so far. :)

Ed's reply re repairs - all costs covered under warranty of a year. After that, he is happy to help repair if it's not user fault (e.g. drop) or if the movement doesn't need replacing. Just need to pay for shipment to and fro.

eh, but the article you share at http://afine-toothcomb.blogspot.sg/2015/12/watches-affordable-vintage-appeal.html?m=1 did warn some negative feedback on watch unique leh... :(

38mm and acrylic crystal? the purists' choice! ;)

Did u put SG address or ur Chateau address in France

bro arc13, if ever that happens, i'll fly you down via private jet for wine tasting from my personal vineyards with the sexiest russian/ukraine/french/spanish/italian/scandinavian/japanese babes you care to want... :D

... but alas, i guess my "tent @ ECP" didn't register as "sg". :(

How much in your opinion is a good price for a zelos watch with 7750 based movement?

A good automatic chrono movement is not cheap to start with. Pricing wise might not be favorable for the mess (pun intended) market!

will consider if he uses a column-wheel, vertical clutch chrono movement (eg seiko 8r chrono) and priced aggressively. :D

or if by miracle of miracles, he can source & equip them with lemania 5100. well, a man can dream, can't he? ;)
