[All in a Day]

Hmm I don't have an end-game watch and I can't afford 6-figure priced watches comfortably....

But as of now, I think I'm going to be fine once I get my:

1. 15400 Blue dial
2. Grand Lange 1 Platinum (I like the larger dial of 41.9mm)
3. VC Overseas (exact one to be decided)

Total gonna set me back around 75k more or less.

After completing this main collection of my PP, AP, ALS and VC, maybe I'll start to consider other watchmakers for different complications.

Right now I really controlling myself cos the IWC worldtimer chrono which I like is on carousell for 10k. Lun ah lun!

Open question to all:

What conventional watch classification would a Lange fit into or intended to fit into?

Those sizes are certainly not dress watch sizes but it would obviously be even more far-fetched to consider them sports watches.

I guess IRL they are definitely worn pretty much like dress watches. I guess at some point since the 90s, the contemporary dress watch size has evolved to accommodate dials beyond 37,38mm in diameter?

I just did a random check on Chrono24 on the piece i am looking for....

I checked for the same piece from a SG grey and he is selling at $5.8k. So I was under the impression that buying from HK would be cheaper...even after taking into account GST...

Hey, just to clarify, I have no idea too. Good for you if you have researched that HK grey could fetch better prices.

As going grey is about buying the seller, I would personally weigh that factor quite heavily unless the HK price is really that attractive (which sometimes isn't a good thing if it hits a 'too good to be true' level).

No idea but Ima wear it with my tshirt, shorts and sneakers as I do all my watches

You can still get traditional size la (Lange 1 38.5mm), but a lot of new watch buyers like big watches. Company have to make money ma.

local AD but mint condition.

dress, 100%. none of their style is sports watch.

the only one that is masculine i feel is zeitwerk.

you can't wear shorts, tee and a lange, feels weird.

if generally, tshirt + shorts + slippers or what, big no no.. that's why dress watch never suit me. i don't wear business formal to work or out. haha
