Rolex (sub) has to be one of the most successful brands in terms of brand image/power across not just watches but any other product. Some other brands I can think off are Colgate for toothpaste. Apple, which even Samsung started off imitating. Coca cola for the defacto go to soft drink.

There was never any question or doubt about that. Rolex has no need for competition for they are already the competition itself.

Seen some nice timepieces at these pawnshop moneymax, or cash converters etc . Really curious to know if anyone do buy them at these places? Does anyone here buy there before?
