Trying out the original Omega nato. Very comfy and high quality, but def not as thick as Blushark.

it's from cozy.sg. very nice friendly people (not advertisement or afflilated.. ). went to their workshop couple of times. customize a car key pouch too. another strap i got from them...

i tried various nato..but i can't really bring out the feel. user problem..

Hi everyone,

I am having problem with my Omega speedmaster of 2 years ago. I notice that the second hand is not moving despite winding it a few hours ago. The second hand remains as it is and the chronograph is not working.

I was informed by Omega that full servicing is required (~SGD940).

I am deciding whether should I have Omega service the watch or to send it elsewhere. If I understand correctly, on top of servicing, Omega will polish the watch and provide 2 years warranty.

For outside servicing, is it purely just servicing with no polishing?

Will greatly appreciate any input. Cheers!

polishing should not make a big impact as outside servicing can also include polishing. Its more about the agent warranty. You should try to get quote from outside (including polishing) and see the difference.

Only from the difference , then see whether worth to pay additional for the warranty. There is no "correct" way to choose which. really depends on you whether you need the warranty or whether you are comfortable with the outside shop.

if you scare, then bring to omega to service. 2 years warranty is good.
ask them don't polish.

or alternatively u can bring to outside technician to service - probably cost half the price but no warranty.

It's 2 years and 2 months old. I bought it brand new. It's unfortunate that I did not send it for servicing before the warranty has ended.

As far as I remember, I have not exposed the watch to element or shock, it's a daily office wear watch for me.

I spoken to Omega, it will take 6-8 weeks if I am to proceed with the servicing.

I had spoken to a watch repair shop highly recommended in the Rolex forum, the turnaround time is 6 months. Is this the usual turnaround time for outside repair shops?

Yo...6 months is an eternity. unless they need to send your watch to Zurich or something.
