Wonder if there's anything so special about V serial, such a huge difference in prices. Brand new 116610LN from AD is S$11,440.

Don't think so. Some sellers mad one, there's a guy selling Bulova Moonwatcy for $88,888.

just a typical steel bezel sub.

To his credit, he did list a 1967 Rolex 5512 with references to Steve McQueen, even down to similar details like a missing bezel pip which was also on Steve's personal Submariner. He also included two disclaimers that it wasn't Steve's watch, which sold for $234,000 back in 2009.

Maybe that's why he felt his 2009 16610 was also worth a record price? :s13:
