The lugs make the dial look bigger on your wrist somehow.

Am I making sense lol.

Ok anyway I think at first glance, the size looks fine but the longer I look, the smaller the dial feels.

You've got the nail on the head. When I first put it on I felt it was small.
Than it looked ok after a while because of the lugs. But now that I look at it longer I still think it looks small on my wrist. Think I am not one for small dial with long lugs. Minimally I would prefer be 40mm case size with 42mm feeling more "right".

I think I will just buy a short 20mm strap and let my wife have this
