Swee ah!!! Though i personally prefer the white one. Still, 116500LN is nice!!!

Did u buy from AD? If yes, how long did u wait?

he didn't wait, walk in saw it and pay for it iirc.

he paid alot premium over rrp.

first mover disadvantage for this time round but ok la. as long he feels money well spent.

I bought this last year.
I know I paid a premium but I've always wanted a Daytona.
I bought to keep and the pain of the premium fades with time

What I've learnt from my own experience with buying watches - get the one you really want
If you have to save up, then do so
Intermittent buys may help soothe the itch a bit, but you'll always lust after THE one

The Daytona is not the best watch in the world by any means, but it was something I always wanted

Well said. The Daytona is the best watch in the world to you, and that's all that matters!

of course he did.

anyway, the RRP email from Rolex, got alot of ways around it.

one store only can get 1 - 2 pieces of daytona each time.

they rather hold the stocks than sell u at RRP. so many tourist, come and go.
they willing to pay premium or even better, AD can do purchase with purchase scheme, buy 1 or 2 diamond datejust then allow daytona to be sold at RRP with no discount for both.
so 1 way, AD is clearing its stuck stocks + sell daytona at RRP (no fault there).
both piece also earn.
thats only one of the way they operate.

they also can sell to grey dealers at RRP, grey dealers flip above RRP, and somehow or rather, they split the profit or whatever.

or maybe you long time siao on rolex fan, buy alot alot from the AD, damn good friend alr, ok lor, sell you RRP to maintain relationship to make u buy more.

see, not so simple one. those listed is only tip of the iceberg.
