Saw a Polar explorer F B+P 6k condition looks good but looks a bit too bling probably due to recent polishing. I think I will pass it looks "small"

sold mine without papers unpolished for 5k.
with papers i think max stretch to 5.5k.

tritium dial.

some 2009 pieces asking for 7k+

Actually the current model of Explorer 2 has a rather large dial. Probably looks the largest (dial wise) amongst all the Rolex sports models barring the recently launched Sea Dweller.

because its white and the large maxi black markers.

i wear alr, i cannot. good for me. lol small exp 2 better

Same for me. I have a U series.. NPNT though haha

I believe Rolex started using Luminova hands earlier than Luminova markers. My U series gotten pre-owned is in that unfortunate situation of having luminova hands and tritium markers and can only blame myself for not checking properly in the 1st place.

Looks something like the polar you had posted awhile back on the transitional model topic, except that the patina on the markers is much less..

Would have preferred full tritium at least got a chance for consistent patina..

It is normal to hear squeaking sound from leather even shoes. I will think it is a 'fit problem', rubbing of leather sound. If this is irritating you a lot then try to re-sit the strap again

i noticed stock straps normally has such noises...was e case when i tried panerais in their boutique and when i bought my seiko and citizens..

I was quoted HKD7800 for a SBBN017... wondering if any gurus over here thinks that this is a acceptable price for the watch?

pam going smaller and slimmer this year.

This is an interesting PAM but was reading it will be in the range of a Sub. Hmmm

I think very high, not worth. my sbbn031 cost much less than that. but that's the premium you have to pay when you look for an discontinued model. check with them price the price of sbbn033 (to compare with other seller) and to compare sbbn017 and 033.

lastly think whether you want to pay a premium price for an discontinued model or just go with the new model.
