Take a look at Citizen Chronomaster.

Perpetual calendar with accuracy ±5 seconds per year.

thanks. i looked at that previously. not attracted by it..and wouldn't wanna spend 2k+ on a citizen..:o

Try GS 8J SBGF series, some of their models have numerals, eg SBGF009, accuracy wise probably not better than 9F but still not a bad one, with independent quickset hour that 9F dont have.

Aside from that, I don't see anything wrong with Bulova, I've owned a precisionist model before and the time keeping is good, not to mention the ultra smooth sweeping hand that almost comparable with GS SD, well precisionist are big watches so probably not under your list, maybe try accutron models?

In fact I'm looking at high end quartz at the moment also, but I'm lock down to GS 9F only, haven't decided to pull the trigger yet.

thanks for the recommendation. will look at GS 8J series. i was looking at GS 9F too. but find them too dressy. the divers are too huge for me 6" wrist. :(

Could I know which stores in Bencoolen? Just getting started in this watch game

almost literally every store in bencoolen has seiko divers with local warranty. for cheaper prices and in store warranty, sky watches is your best bet. Sky watches at people's park complex under the name watch fashion pte ltd.
