Thanks for sharing. All I know is my AD takes care of the registration and I receive the magazine every quarter :D

By the way I have two watch regrets. One was passing the 5711 white dial. Thought a blue might come but it never did. Ended with 5167

Should have taken the white 5711 because it is also very rare. I find the dial very legible. Recently i saw a piece at a Far East dealer selling at 43.5k.

Anyway 5167 is also nice :)

I have many many regrets in the watch game. Too painful to list here :(

Patek is a bit different because all watches are registered under owner's name. Once Patek sees the registered watch sold immediately after the initial sales at AD, that owner will be banned from all future allocation of popular models :)

For Rolex, there is no tracking mechanism at all :(

PP ban or AD ban?
there is wait time at AD? AD check with PP to verify buyer record before letting the sales go thru?

if the registered name does not change no way for PP to track right?

Same with AP la, their website register name and watch then get additional 1 year warranty. No way to trace one, many loopholes.

I have to agree just too many loop holes.

new generation ppl don't like to wear watches, these brands have a time bomb waiting. To improve profits control AD prices, AD also want to make max profits. customers want to buy cheap. some customers unhappy about the price diff. well life is always unfair.

ted also tells a tale of fake and replica funding terrorist. They are hard to track, website can be shut down. The funding of cryto currency may just help anyone who choose to stay private and untraceable. grey can certainly leverage such tech. too bad cannot use block chaining on physical items yet

Hi All,

I recently got a Seiko SRP777J1 and is looking to replace the silicon strap with metal bracelet.

Any recommendations where I can get bracelet for this model in Singapore, and a decent quality one? :)

Thanks!

Not sure about physical shop in Singapore. You can get 1 with curve end links from strapcode (online store).

A H Moser limited edition watch:

Swiss_Icons_Watch_Close-up_Black_Background.jpg

It has the bezel of a GMT Master II shoehorned into a Royal Oak shape, a dial that's a mashup of Panerai and Patek (the Nautilus) a Hublot case, a Panerai-esque crown guard, and a tourbillon under a Girard-Perregaux type golden bridge :)

Also see how the fringe of the bezel resembles the traditional bottle cap :)

Good quality will be from strapcode as recommended.

Else local Seiko agent TS should have original Seiko bracelet as well.

alamak。。。

Thank you so much for both of your replies. I actually came across strapcode and was intrigued by the 22mm 3D oyster (cant post link because of my low post count)

Having said that, I was a bit wary because of the price (USD80 w/o shipping) and I was concerned whether I will be able to adjust the chain with the help of neighbourhood watch store. I confess that I have no experience handling chain watches (nor the tools at home to do any self adjustments) and I am not sure about the market rate too.

I have heard of comments where people said that shops actually refused to help with the adjustments when they didn't buy those bracelets from their stores.

I bought strapcode oyster for my seiko skx007. Its very easy to adjust, 1 or 2mm flat head screw driver will do. If you already have screwdrivers to adjust spectacles, then no need to worry.

For strapcode oyster bracelet, there are 2 versions. 1 tapers to 20mm and the other to 18mm. I bought the 20mm but i wished that i bought the 18mm cos it will be more comfortable.

Thank you for your reply!

I read from strapcode that the SRP777 is recommended for the 22mm bracelet. Does that mean that I shouldn't go for anything lower than that (e.g. 20mm or 18mm)?

How long did the shipment take for you?

Noted on the screwdrivers! I will have to go and find to see if I have any of that thinness!

The oyster series actually look similar to the endmill series that jonleelk recommended. Is there a difference in the quality?

From order to delivering, within 2 week. Here's mine from Strapcode, adjustment very easy. Quality wise is ok for 3rd party, can't compare with the original. So here goes mine
