I see ppl use cape cod can. Don't have dremel tool haha

Probably have to remove the sinn bezel first.

My previous Sinn 556 also has fine scratches on the AR. Not sure why they wanted an external AR coat.

Cape cod didn't work for me on my u1 though. Yes, only if you remove sinn bezel then can really strip away the coating at the edges of the crystal. I used only the dremel wool tip by hand. Read horror stories of people overdoing it with high speed on the dremel tool since diamond paste is extremely abrasive.

Not sure whether external AR coating is cause of ease in getting smears on the sapphire which is quite irritating

Anyone got experience removing external AR coating?
Got mixed reviews of polywatch, cape cod cloth and dremel.
Anyone know any professional who can do it?

u only see it in certain angles which annoys me.

but nvm, learn to look away from it. not worth spending another few hundred euros to get it fixed.

For rolex submariners, can I ask you guys if the chapter ring (the minute marker) would be aligned with the ROLEXROLEXROLEX engravings? I just got a submariner from a dealer in Bencoolen and the rolex crown engraving does not seem to be in line with the 12 o clock minute marker (slightly off). Is this a cause for alarm? would gratefully appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Thanks for replying. Really appreciate it. I was checking out the standard stock picture from the rolex website and noticed that their rolex crown engraving was in line with the hour marker; hence the question.

And fakes look really real these days. Would you happen to have any brightline tests to gauge real vs fakes without opening the caseback?
