I think it's OK I nearly got it but choose 1024 in the end, maybe people will suggest the old 312 cos some people don't like the blue markers at the sub dial.

Hi guys, I am considering getting a Panerai Pam 1312. I got a pretty big wrist, so this watch size is pretty fits me. Could anyone share any thoughts on this watch.

Initially wanted to get just a base model pam1005. Then up my Budget to get the automatic 1312. But found out now the strap is too short for my wrist. Don’t wish to spend additional on the straps. Currently the Hour Glass sales guy trying to get the standard straps swap to large size for me.

I am also considering to get Rolex submariner (black) if not hulk as it’s just a bit more than the pam1312.

A must read article that was also posted on TRF, especially for those thinking of buying watches above retail or buying other pieces from an AD in order to get that daytona at retail ahead of others.

https://www.ablogtowatch.com/why-some-watches-rolex-patek-philippe-impossible-retail/

Haha, I love Rolex watches (especially their designs), but no way I will pay above the retail price for it. In 2010, I liked SS GMT 2, I walked in to AD, paid retail of S$8k+ on the spot without having to wait.
Only the suckers will pay above the retail. :s13:

Depends.....these suckers may also be the ones who paid 1.5k premium for the old SS Daytonas and selling them for 10k more now. I dont mind being a sucker if thats the case. IMHO, at the end of the day, get what you like at what you can afford. If you cannot afford it, doesnt matter if its retail or markup, its not for you then; applies on anything one wanna buy.

Between the Tudor Pelagos blue and Rolex Explorer I, which will you guys choose? On one hand, the striking blue ceramic bezel and dial on the Pelagos looks stunning but the simplicity of the Explorer I also looks appealing. Torn between these 2.

Both also nice but Explorer I no date right? For me, date important, so I think I'll take the Pelagos!

I’ve seen both and I’d say that the Pelagos Blue definitely stands out.

Seems quite different watches actually. But why not the Pelagos black?

Anyone into Alpina watches?
I have one Seastrong 300 vintage brand new. Retail is 1.3k
Was thinking to wear it or sell it? If anyone wants to take it off my hands let me know, can sell way lower.
Cause i managed to buy a gen 2 halios Seaforth.

I’m still waiting for my Gen 3 Seaforth... missed out on Gen 2.

Here’s a common watch...
