Wow thanks so much for the help! appreciate it.

Btw, is it possible to find one with Japanese date wheel? As far as I've searched, mostly are in Arabic/English/Spanish language. The Japanese ones only can buy domestically in Japan?

nope. Ordinary seikos that are made in japan end with the number J1. For example, if I buy a SKX007, I have SKX007K1 and SKX007J1. J1 is the one you want to get.

Any advice on where to get a skx007 locally at reasonable price? Is Big time ok? Or got other shops with more reasonable price.

K2 Watches (Mr Goh) sell SKXs at great prices, I got mine from K2. I haven't dealth with Big Time though.

Looking to get this as my first watch at a AD/boutique.
Will the average discount given for this model around 5-10% as seen by the many post here.
Is this a popular model among rolex? Will there be a waiting list?
Anything to look out for when making the purchase?

Thanks

was trying to change clothes for the stowa just now
bought a grey hirsch duke 22mm just for the occasion

this was then in 2013, when it was new and bluish

this is now, after 4 years of dirt and sweat and many scratches

strap has discoloured, the strap retainer loop broke.
i ordered a hirsch duke in grey for about 75 bucks and it was in today
happily bought it home to replace, only to find after 30 minutes of fiddling with the spring bar that it's actually damaged and i can't remove the strap unless i cut it
actual problem is that the ends of the spring bar doesn't depress.
after cutting away the strap cos i had no choice, it shows that the spring bar is locked in 1 position and the only way to get the spring bar out is to destroy it
what a waste of my original stowa strap

anyway, i now have a watch with it's shirt but no pants

Datejust is not popular... Definitely no need for waiting list. Esp this is fluted bezel with oyster band... Even harder to sell. They are more than happy to let go at 15% off

Most watch shop should sell spring bars. Cheap or not, some selling $6 for a pair, some $2.
