Wow just visited this thread again since posting my Sinn and saw that it raised an entire debate over external AR!

I definitely know of the risks of external AR (reading up on forums etc) before purchasing the piece. However, I know that it will not affect me significantly because I’m incredibly OCD with my watch crystal. I never ever touch my watches on their crystals, even when I’m handling them and putting them in their cases etc. And even though it’s classified as a “tool” watch, I never use a $1000 plus watch as a beater. I have my Gshock for that. Also having worn watches for the past 4 years, I’ve yet to knock it on any surface so it’s all good to me! Hence, in the end, the extra clarity that external AR can provide for me is definitely worth it.

Whether one likes AR is definitely a subjective matter, so to each his own guys! 😆

Heng, wasted though, you never handle lasers or airplanes (at least I don’t think so), else one day the external AR will save your life.

If only it were without that magnifer, would have been so perfect.

But then again, without the magnifying glass, it wouldnt qualify as Datejust aka uncle watch.

Like the seadweller should never have the magnifying glass.

The sea dweller did not have the cyclops originally only because it couldnt withstand the pressure from the water resist rating. The cyclops now is a breakthrough to be celebrated and not bemoaned.
