Got a question, is it better to buy a fake tag heu aquaracer for $280 or buy a Seiko samurai as a birthday gift? I know I'm cheap but that's all that I have for myself. Any advice on what watch to buy for myself that I can pass down? Budget 300-700

Are you getting the gift for yourself or others? Either way, don't insult yourself or the person by gifting a fake watch. The Samurai is definitely a good choice instead of a fake.

For a budget of 300-700, the possibilities are limitless. For a start the Seiko SARB and SARX series are extremely good "everyday" watches for the money. Look at the SARX045 for a start.

Don't get fake. It's pointless to get temporary praise and latter being scorn at, especially for a gift. Seiko Samurai is a good choice actually. Of cause, for 300-700 you'll be already spoilt for choice with just seiko itself, you can consider hamilton, orient, Tissot, Timex or even Invicta depend on your taste.

Just curious, has invicta improved over the past few years? Realised more and more ppl recommend it. Many years back it was bashed badly...

I finally bought this. My first real watch! Well, unless you count the F91W. But that was Eons ago. Anyway here are the pics!
