what's the difference for skx007 between the 21 Jewels and the normal range. (except the fact that there is the wording 21 Jewels on the face dial)
If a watch that you can get for $250 can be made in Japan (with some old wizened craftsman whittling away at a block of metal no doubt), then I need some of what those people are smoking. Not much difference.
It was said that SKX 007 with 21 Jewels is made in Japan.
Same for SKX009, SKX 013....

It’s the same watch, but J versions are for places with regulations (eg Middle East) that state that the source must be indicated. This is also why many J version Seikos have Arabic day wheel. Anything else is hype created by resellers and retailers to justify $30 to $50 premiums for people who want to believe.
I don’t think even JDM is made in Japan.. Assembled maybe.
Actually, I managed to get SKX 009 J Version for $250.00 several years back.
Not sure whether it is really made in Japan, but it was worth the money.
The warranty was by the shop (K2 Watch), but I'm fine with it.
Erm yes I know you can get SKX J version at $250 hence my reference to the figure and Japanese craftsmen.
K version can get $200 or even $180.
Handled both before, dunno why people claim J version got difference. No difference except for the dial text pls.

Nothing wrong with that, if you like the extra text, it’s no different from paying premium for Ultraman shaped lume, limited edition or color scheme.Yes, agree that there's no difference between J or K version of SKX.
However, the watch SKX 013 has no K Version.
For me, I prefer the 21 Jewels written in the dial.
That's why I got the J version.
Thanks for the information guys! Shall go look around the stores and get the classic skx007!

“Blue collaring” a white watch!

Hi guys, I'm new to watches and don't know much about them yet. Looking to buy an entry level one and after browsing the watches thread for a few days, decided that I'm going to get SNZF17.
However, many of you prefer the SKX007 although I like the SNZF17 more aesthetically. Why is the SKX007 better? And where can I get a SNZF17? Should I call ahead to ask for availability?
Thank you.
