borealis 20mm black rubber review, the recent one with the 'B' buckle
1. really softer less stiff compared to my Iso, as a result significantly more comfortable as it doesn't pinch on my wrist bone
2. no scent detected on Bor
3. mold marks. interesting because Iso has a neat 'mold line' running through the face of the edge, and Bor doesn't have that.
Iso's holes are all clean, almost all of Bor's holes got residue
4. Bor's buckles are hardly even close on first glance. tang was sitting high, a little over cut on one side.
Tried to unscrew Bor's buckle, won't turn out and just freespins on spot. used a pin to push it out from other end, viola.... bar got thread and buckle is just a clean hole with 0 threads... essentially a push fit joke, total garbage.
put on my Iso buckle on it and works fine with the strap.
5. strap keepers for the 20mm black Bor fits and works fine.
6. doesn't take fat bars. same bars from my Iso fit fine, though slightly loose.
would reco to buy if one likes the Iso look and prefer a softer strap than Iso, but abort the buckle pls
*would not recommend stuffing even slightly oversized bars into rubber straps. one end of my bonetti 281 failed on me, happen to see this shiny sliver around the lug area one day... nb a long crack along the full lug hole length.
springbar fit was snug, had to use something to butt it out if i want to remove. 10/10 would not recommend to do this!!
