Still amazed at how they could make this non-ceramic bezel look so ceramic after so long

Hey guys, I'm new to getting a fine watch. Eyeing a seamaster 300. Boutique quoted $7k+, a quick search on chuanwatch (for example) shows upper $5k+

What's the deal? How is it possible that grey dealers can take so much off? If so, would grey dealers be my choice? I'll be buying on installment

Boutique can offer u discount also. U need to ask them for it. 10-15% should be easily given

Boutique - zero discount. Maybe some freebies. Get on mailing list for future launches, events

AD - for omega last i know confirm still got discount. How much i not sure, quite controlled and see your sales guy like u/need sales how badly to get beyond standard discount.

Grey - better discount, maybe overseas AD piece, but still legit.

Thanks for light speed reply guys. So it's safe to say, boutique is for carrot la. Want a good deal, it's either grey or 2nd hand. Cos I've seen the submarine 300 drop to high $4k+ on the resale market

Grey dealer stocks are normally from overseas.

It’s like buying a agent car vs parallel imported car. Price dif also huge. Depends what you want.

depends on how u see things.

exclusive pieces goes to boutique first, so chances are slightly higher in future if u keen on exclusive pieces.

ADs offers slightly better discounts.

Grey is just few hundreds off the AD prices comparing brand new pieces. but usually they charge certain percentage for installment.

so depends on which cup of coffee or mineral water suits u better. if u want cheaper its definitely 2nd hand but straight cash.

if u intend to keep for long and prefer your name on the warranty card then its AD.

if u keen on future exclusive release then its better to shake hands with the boutique.
