I've been looking at the Octo case for a while - love all the angles and faucets to it. And of course, the Genta influence.

But the Octo Finissimo line, while gorgeous is just a big too large for my liking. When looking into smaller options, I came across the 38mm Solotempo and interestingly, 2 38mm Octo Retrogradi models released in 2015 that didn't quite get much attention. The latter were reminiscent of the Gerald Genta Octo Bi-retro (jump hour, retrograde minutes), but stripped down into something more minimal. So Genta all around, but simplified, and more subtle - really appealing to me. Happy to finally pick one up yesterday.

Thanks! Over the moon with this one.. It has replaced my Submariner (I've been finding dive watches more and more boring over the years, because the design is quite stifling/cookie-cutter ultimately) in my watch box. :p

Here's a short (and sorry, shakey) video of the jump hour and retrograde minutes in action.

Private seller. I see a lot of the bi retro around but not the mono. I prefer the mono cos the bi retro has the hour blocked sometimes (have to move up to intersect with the minute track, to make space for date retrograde).

Bvlgari wasn't that popular until the Octo Finissimo line so I guess it didn't get much attention then.

Thanks for your input… I went to see the diver… seriously felt under whelming… any tip to share with me what must I take notice of when buying pre owned ghost or just go for the latest 15720st khaki green? Now it is trading at a premium don’t know this set what price good to buy?

15720st nobody selling and yes there's quite a premium.
Ghost. Carousell got ppl selling, go authenticate.
I rather buy ghost over the new diver.

Check out 'Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 26470IO Ghost', available at S$51,499 on #Carousell https://carousell.app.link/A9vQoT1N2qb
