No problem with my Tank for the past 2 years.. Quartz is normally fuss free, what was the issue?

stopped moving after 3 months… hospital say was due to magnetism. First time any of the quartz experience this and it was kept or go nowhere near strong magnetic items… 2nd time also stop moving after abt 10 months… this time said need new lubrication…

On another note, is it bad to change out my steel bracelet for a leather strap for my diver watch?
