hello, watch noob here.

i am thinking of getting a limited edition Seiko Presage Cocktail. Does anyone have any recommendation (e.g. shop or websites) that I can visit to search for it?

Swatch x AP Royal Pop is truely a disappointment with pocket watch instead of a wrist watch. Until Swatch launches a separate pop case with wrist strap for this series or 3rd parties doing it, I wonder who will be excited with a pocket watch with a clipless lanyard. To make it practical for the time being is to self-improvise a longer lanyard and wear it as a necklace watch.

That is a real fast move but I think it may just be a photoshop image since the real watch is yet to be seemed in public. The position of the dial and crown is odd too for the 12 o'clock crown position series in this case, the 3 o'clock crown position with little second hand series is able to position the dial ideally though.

On second thought of AP x Swatch Royal Pop, the crown can be the very fragile and problematic component given that it needs to wind every 3 days, bioceramic are not supposed to undergo constant torque and definitely the groove connection between the crown and the metal pin will give way over time. Swatch should use automatic instead of manual winding movement.

Must give it Swatch for certain level of risk taking and innovation. At least it is not an entire repeat of the Swatch-Omega type with no new ideas or concepts.

I rather it just provide a decent wearable wrist watch. It is like AP is not willing to make it user-friendly that a pocket watch type is introduced instead, who will want to bring a pocket watch out in the modern era?! 🤣

Wait for after market strap. Maybe thats AP agreement with Swatch to raise market awareness while not "cheapening the brand or iconic design"

Business decisions could be very strategic.

Nevertheless, I think the market response will be quite luke warm, even Blancpain Bioceramic Fifty Fathom being so useful and functional was rather quiet, let alone this joker. Until a practical strap accessories comes out by Swatch, even a 3rd parties accessories may still shun people off from buying this watch as 3rd parties is still 3rd parties, not original parts.

The market is such a weird place, it is definitely from another universe i dont comprehend, especially fluffy stuff like Labubu, buy to collect dust and dirt. 😅
