Always nice to mix it up. Cheap way to get a "new" watch. But my favorite look has to be metal or leather.

Strap makers - depends on your budget..

If you don't mind generic size, think Straposphere and Nomad Watch Works pricing is very good for the quality..

Midrange - Delugs and Cozy for me.. I've seen good reviews of Vario, and they have some cool stuff like tweed straps.. But I have way too many straps so I'll try it next time..

I don't go any higher, cos I think the increase in quality is not worth the money, but if you are looking specifically for exotic leather, Lac Crado did a decent job for me the one time I went there.

local OB just replied me on snoopy strap with deployment clasp price (because backside itchy but thinks quite matching with speedy), nearly fell off the chair though I kinda anticipated the price will not be cheap already

i like seventhcreation(IG) straps.
delugs not bad as well.

btw just a small increase on the moonwatch.

Hi all, new to this thread. Was basically researching quite a bit on my first watch in the 5k-12k range, and I shortlisted quite a few that I really liked.

However, even though I like the watches and trying them on feels good, somehow I didn't have the push to make the purchase. Financially, I can definitely can afford it and don't see it as a waste of money. Not sure if anyone else here have experienced the same and understands what's going on

If you don't want to buy then don't buy la? Buy what makes you happy. Don't need to buy just cos people say you will like - you know yourself best after all.

If you don't have that special affinity with watches, it's entirely possible. Just like I feel nothing for cars or wine. I don't get too bothered by it, we are all different.

P.S. This thread, with the exception of a few weirdos, generally appreciates watches of all price ranges.

I think it's pretty common to have such thinking when you're first starting off. nowadays we can just refer to our smartphones or to a certain extent also, smart watches to tell the time. a simple g-shock also can do the job equally efficient as well.

All hinges on what is your purpose of going beyond your current acceptance level in hooting a luxury class watch (5k - 12k). It's probably most other folks can't accept if they're not into watches. Some buy because of investment, some buy because of their work, some buy because purely to hao lian and tell people their status in life, etc; while some buy is purely down to the fact they like how mechanical watches work and the intangible value they bring other than just telling time (mech watches is in fact super less accurate compared to a gshock or your handphone)..

End of the day, depends on what your motive is for buying one. If you eventually made the decision to hoot one, then go for the one you can afford. don't (IMHO) equip yourself with the thinking that you hoot an entry level one to test water. more than often you'll end up not liking it, either making a loss while trying to sell it off and buying a more expensive one.

If u dont see the value then it’s not yr poison then save the $ on something else u can find value in. Nothing wrong when it comes to spending yr $ within yr means.
