I guess if they are the intermediary, they will handle anything that crops up (e.g. lost mail).. So there is some value add, no matter how minor.. That said, given the working attitude of most customer service these days, I won't be surprised if they don't really follow up, resulting in a prolonged service interval.

That’s not what I understand
If Thong Sia set they will take care of the shipping,
If grey set, you have to pay for the shipping

But back to TS being the sole distributor, they should be responsible for all customer service regardless of the origin, like what all the Swiss brands are doing.

Besides Hour glass because I heard their downtime is damn long.
