I think sub ND have chance, explorer quite hard to tell as new releases generally have some initial hype.

Just took it out after two years in storage and realised it’s sticky, wtf. Have I been storing it incorrectly? Does IWC sell replacement boxes?

Sigh. Can’t believe a renowned brand give such substandard boxes. Totally disappointed.

Omega Speedmaster boxes (the red ones) also peel like nobody's business after a few years.

Maybe all the brands should just give simple paper boxes like Timex.. You only need to worry about silverfish.

That’s why they changed to the wooden/canvas boxes… and increased the price

Inside may still peel though, as long as there is PV leather, it will peel..

best boxes so far is patek, rolex and panerai. (major brands).
old patek wooden box also pvc inside, end up tear, now they change to suede.
wooden boxes, with suede internals. keep inside a ziplock bag, confirm ok.
omega card holder, will peel after few years, even their box improved

I keep all my boxes in a ziploc bag individually with a dehumidifier in my storeroom. i think will help.
