Which brand of watches tend to retain their value?

Thanks!
Really depends on the exclusivity of the watch and at what particular point in time. Very hard to generalize.

When new submariner ceramic 116610ln was launched it fetched a premium over list price. Now after stocks stabilize bnib overseas sets go for below 9k.

Another recent eg is pam 372. In 2011 prices went as high as 16k. Now it's down to 10-11k on grey market.

seen it before?? after discount is around 3k?
yup, actually it was released the same time as ceramic xv last year nov. i was considering this or ceramic xv, held them side by side and eventually bought the ceramic xv due to the size of deepquest.
u can see it at most WOS like paragon, 313, or vivo.
the list price is $5.5k if i rem. 500 more than the ceramic xv.

bro chris, is tat a fake watch or a homage? look nice leh, since it look like the tudor black bay im aiming recently. if fake, then i pass la. :)

What's Ball's discount like? I remember seeing the DeepQUEST going for about $5450, but I've no idea of the discount factor.

i guess the normal discount range from 20-25% if u push harder. depends on your persuading power i say.
maybe if u can get another fren to buy another ball at the same time, with 2 buyers they may give more.

Hi

I've bought my first Orient Star watch today. I went to the watch shop to check out the Bambino and Seiko SARB series watches but ended up buying this beautiful cream dial watch. It's love at first sight!

any comments on this anonimo military watch?? :o

After their initial successes, they've gone the way their name suggests.
The printing of the "Militare Vintage" on the right side of the dial just looks strange.

Used to own a Millimetri and Wayfarer.

On the contrary, the hands quite swee for me leh. What I dislike is the crown guard and the height of the watch.

Hi, kind to share where you bought the watch. Like to check it out.

Sorry for delay.... pls go to pensinula plaza where u cen get Rolex & Omega at 1 go. Sweet deal :)

Jus returned from Hokkido and found Sumo (both blue & black available) at Yen 37,800 (around S$535) in Seiko shops at Reka and Mitsui factory oulets. Original RP Yen 60,000. There is one Grand Seiko model at Yen 210,000 instead of usual 310,000 under promotion.

So for those travelling to JP & plan to get Seiko, pls visits their shops.

BTW, father-in-law got himself a Seiko solar (fully japan-made) dress watch at Yen 33,000.

It's a homage to black bay?

Black Bay is one of my favourites but always out of stock after scouting a few months.... so eventually got bond black Seamaster.... not bad after all & similar pricing... no regrets. :)
