U should buy 1. Can wear to places/events where it can get scratched easily and not feel heartpain abt it

Visodate is not common like the sinn u1 lol
You're quite right. U1 is everywhere. I sold my u1 few weeks after buying from sinn frankfurt factory.

hi bros. need some help here.

previously bought a watch from amazon,

Stuhrling Original Men's 451.3315K1SET Leisure Eagle Square Swiss Quartz Date Leather Strap Set Watch: Watches: Amazon.com

i need to punch like around 2 more holes on the 2mm strap.

but when i went to some random watch shop, the store owner told me that the leather strap is too thick for their equipment to punch through.

any idea where else can i go to punch the strap? read online and someone advised going to the cobbler or something. wont they spoil the strap? :s22::s22:

real watch on hand is very nice and pretty. too bad i wanna the no date.

If you really have no choice but to send it back, make 'em:

1. Declare the new watch below S$400, and make them take the risk. In this way you don't have to incur GST. If not, make them pay for the GST this time round.
2. Make them pay for the shipping back, it was their mistake.

Date is better. Cos the 2824 movement is a date movement. Without the date, it's simply not having a window on the dial and no date wheel. No modifications have been done to the movement. You half pull the crown, it's still turning some gears I think. If you're a purist, you would probably would have to go for some hand-wound non-date movement altogether. And it's really more practical to have a date if it's an everyday watch too. Advise that you keep the watch if there's no other issues. It flew all the way from Germany to you afterall. <;

Btw, I too fought with the "date-no date" dilemma and got a date stowa flieger too.

1. Never buy a watch from a company without aftersales support in sg

If you need spare parts later on or if you need to send it back, it is tedious.

2. Go to a 3rd party shop like jwwatch that does service for panerais

Dont go to cobbler, their hole punching tools are not meant for watch straps.

Those watch shops will usually punch a small hole in the strap, and it is enuf oredi, the hole will auto expand to accomodate the metal pin
