I have been used seiko quartz for about 3 years.
Recently, interested to try automatic watch. I saw seiko skx007 classic diver watch. Pretty nice model.
But then, i also saw nice photo of steinhart ocean 1. This model looks nicer in the picture and youtube (because i cannot try it on the shop in sg).
Is steinhart movement and accuracy much better than seiko since the steinhart one cost double than seiko?

Thanks for your advice.

Price and movement accuracy has no direct relationship.

Steinhart uses eta generally and for ocean I believe is 2824-2 a proven work hose which should last for years.

Hey guys,

i saw this watch and it kinda caught my eyes. There is like 25% off which is $50. but i'm not sure how it will look on the actual watch.

Apart from this, do you guys have any other recommendations? i am looking for something nice yet simple. Don't really like complicated ones and my budget is about $250-300 (sorry, NSF here).

thanks in advance!

I remember seeing this design at Isetan Wisma Fossil watch booth. the watch face is a little too big for me. I think about 40mm? but it looks nice and solid.
its a great smart casual watch.

for a $250-$300 budge

i found a discount that gives it at $178. i think its a steal but i havent seen the actual watch yet. don't like watches that have the face too close to the casing. but will head down to take a look. thanks

One thing about ORIENT dress watches is that the company pays alot of attention on the minor details such as:
The front glass, the appearance n fine details of the dial.

2-3weeks back i went down to Mustafa with my wife to c c look look at Orient watches and she felt in love with the Orient couple watch series.
She told me that for a pair of $200 automatic couple watch, it look damn nice and elegant. So now i know what to buy for Xmas heehee. (Not forgetting that preown TH carrare heehee)

If you cant make up your mind on which watch to buy, line the watches side by side to do a direct comparsion and you will get an answer

nice of your wife to like watches. sadly, my girlfriend doesn't like watches but i love watches :( i think i will most probably get the fossil watch cause of its price and i like it. $179 for it is a steal i think. don't really like bronze colorish.

time to go hunt what watch to buy for my next pay day. heehee

thanks for the help! :):)

Hello everyone,

I would like to sincerely seek your advice on looking for a choice of watch. I am totally clueless about the watch scene so please bear with me if I do seem to ask "stupid" questions.

I have a budget of 2K and I would like to have a chronograph watch with a design similar to this.

CARRERA CALIBRE 1887AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPHSpace X43 mm Silver Leather bracelet | TAG Heuer

I'm going for a classic, contemporary and timeless design, something to be worn daily. Although I do not like metal as the material for the strap. I would very much have leather instead.

Essentially, it would be a gift for my birthday so it would be great if I could go down with my parents to a physical store to purview the various watches before purchasing.

I have short listed Tag Heuer as one of the possible options but I'm not sure whether it would fit into the budget.

I would greatly appreciate your help!

Best Regards
