Hello people,

May I ask where would be the best place to get discounts for Longines from those big AD's? (Cortina, The Hour Glass, Sincere, Watches of Switzerland). Or are the discount percentages strictly fixed and standardised across the board?

I've went to Cortina today and they've quoted me a estimated net price of 3.2K for the Longines Master Collection Power Reserve.

L2.708.8.78.3 - The Longines Master Collection - Watchmaking Tradition - Watches - Longines Swiss Watchmakers since 1832

It's the same version as above, just that it is stainless steel instead of gold coloured.

Thank you so much for your help!

Is helson watch worth the money? Planning to get the bronze one.

Helson seems popular among the watch collecting community overseas, decent looking watches using work horse ETA movements but personally think 1200 plus USD is a bit much to pay for micro brand, at that price range many choices available, although for bronze they are not that expensive

guys... just wanna have your thoughts about this conversation I had with my uncle last night.

My uncle is travelling to Switzerland and France this December and he asked me if I wanna get anything from there. I told him to help me look at watches. then he asked Rolex?

I said no. Tag heuer... then my uncle responded ohh... why TH?
I told him, its my favourite brand and always dream to get one. but of course, I would get a rolex but more for keepsake. TH is more of a practical dailybeater.

then my uncle suggested me to keep the money, save up a couple of thousands more and hoot a Rolex first. Get that rolex and then go for a TH.

my uncle's reasoning is that Rolex has a higher resale value compared to TH, be it vintage or a regular rolex.

his analogy actually got me thinking... because for Rolex I have always been thinking of getting either of these two models:

Submariner date or Datejust II

Just FYI, watches in Switzerland are not cheap at all, you might want to consider getting them in France instead

Europe 9+ nia after vat and disc

IMO quite ex.
I have bought a brand new GMT2 overseas set from a guy in SWX for $8.7K (full set with dated overseas AD cert). He constantly imports Rolexes in bulk which could be why his preice is the best I could find for an imported overseas set.

Quick questions here guys.

1. Anyone buy NATO straps here? If yes where do you guys usually buy it from??...
Yes. Try some of these names: Crown & Buckle, Panatime, Timefactors, Natostrapco, The Strap Shop UK.

You might also want to get the stitched ones instead of the ultrasonically welded ones.

Prefer the CW trident, has more of a CW unique look, the ocean 1 is too much of a homage

i would actually prefer the steinhart ocean vintage military, in short ovm over the ocean one. it has more identity and more sought after and harder to get.

Swatch group tells our AD that X is most discount u can give, if they give more and swatch find out they are out of luck.
Thus yes it is standardize across all AD if u hot the max number allowed by swatch

Really nice piece! Congrats!

Can you let me know what's your wrist size please? I am actually looking for a Casio with radio frequency but I can't seem to pull it off due to the size of the watch. I can wear a Pam but with a G-Shock, it just doesn't sit right.

Much thanks!
