Hi all gurus! Is my first post here, am thinking of getting a Tag Heuer Carrera Automatic Mens Watch TAG Heuer Men's WV211M.BA0787 Carrera Calibre Five Black Dial Watch as a gift.

I went to sincere at Suntec and the person quote me 3,900 before disc. After Disc is abt 3,100. Do you think is a good buy? Or with that money I can buy something similar at lower price??

if gift better to stick to the more recognizable brands like tag, omega, rolex, tissot, longines etc...and that particular TH is quite nice. There are cheaper common easily recongized alternatives though such as Mido Belluna M001.431.11.051.32,

If anything happen to the watch after the seller warranty, still can send the watch for repair at authentic service center with a price right? (I means the service center still accept it?)

of course la, unless the watch is not authentic or modified in someway, then no. Charging for servicing and repairs is a revenue stream for watch companies.

But if no manufacturer warranty and it's a common movement can just send to small but reputable watch maker, will be cheaper.

Rolex 216570 (42mm) or 16570 (40mm)?

The 216570 which was released in 2011 will set you back more. Preowned prices will mostly be in the high 7k to 8k odd region depending on where the set was purchased from (local sets will likely cost more).

The 16570 has been superseded by the 216570 and should cost less. Expect the range to still be in high 4k all the way to about 6k region. In all likelihood, the local sets will cost a little more as well.
