but still have 21% vat rebate, am i right?

after 5% 5700 + 21% vat = 4503 euro, around S$7371?

please correct me..

maths fail la.

VAT is the same concept as GST. if you want to "deduct" the 21%, you need to take 5,700 divide by 1.21 = 4,710.

in any case, the VAT refund company always takes a cut or percentage as service fee, so the actual refund varies from 12% of the retail price to 13+%. If it is 12% of the retail, that would work out to be 5,016 euros.

Check either global blue website or whichever firm they use to handle VAT to find out the rate.

QUOTE]

Well... these ones are pretty ugly.... but the IWC models that are *really* overpriced are the ones with in-house movements [which seemingly don't actually keep time very well at all]. I think that if anyone has their heart set on an IWC, the ones with ETA movements are probably the best bet. I came close to buying either the Top Gun ceramic chronograph or the spitfire last year, and I was only saved from that foolishness by the extreme tackiness of the Top Gun association and the extreme ugliness of the applied digits on the spitfire. After some more thought and reading, I realised that I didn't really care about the difference between in-house and ETA in this particular case, especially not when the former costs double the latter and really isn't as good.

And when it comes to overpricing, IWC is bad, but so are all of the most familiar brands, and most of them are far worse.
